Below is the full listing of her event schedule. The urgency to act on climate change has never been greater, and the broad permaculture movement offers many solutions and vitally important approaches. But how do we get them widely adopted, and how do we counter the blocking forces of big oil, big money, and big ignorance? Where are the pressure points, and how do we use our resources most effectively? Too often, people of color, immigrants, and communities most impacted by environmental and social injustice are underrepresented in permaculture courses, gatherings and leadership. How do we meaningfully build alliances, stand in solidarity with one another, and address deep issues of power and privilege? When we are organizing and facilitating, how do we hold a container for the pain of the oppressed and shift the guilt and denial of the privileged into empowerment and responsibility? Some of the founders of the permaculture movement have tried hard to establish permaculture as a science and to steer clear of any spiritual or religious affiliations. Yet for many people, a spiritual foundation is a vital part of sustaining the work of earth healing and regeneration. People of European descent often yearn for a spiritual connection separate from dogma and church, and look for it in indigenous or Eastern spirituality.
