My Bloody Valentine 3-D , directed by Patrick Lussier , may be a remake of the original horror classic of the same name, but this time around it's a fearless festival of blood, guts and gore, packed with enough explicit sexual content to taunt an NC MPAA rating though we'll have to settle for an R. One of the film's most memorable scenes involves a completely nude Farrah Fawcett look-alike running across a sleazy motel parking lot, screaming for help as a pick-axe wielding, deranged miner chases her down and tries to cut out her heart. Sounds too hilariously horrific to be true, doesn't it? And did we emphasize this remake is in 3-D? Like the original, the story centers around the tiny mining community of Harmony, whose inhabitants are struggling to rebound after a fatal mining accident occurred there ten years prior. The only survivor of the accident was head miner Harry Warden, who awoke from a coma one year later, just in time for Valentine's Day, and sought revenge on those around him using a pick axe as his trusted tool of torture. One of the targets of his revenge was Tom Hanniger Jensen Ackles , a novice miner whose father once owned the town's mine shafts. Tom, however, escaped the wrath of Harry Warden and eventually Harmony's local law enforcement took matters into their own hands and put an end to Harry once and for all, or so we are lead to believe.

The " Outlander " star brings his character into the most dangerous situation yet: the world of online dating. Watch the video. He talks about how they knew they'd be mixing practical effects with CGI so he talks about a few of the deaths in the film including the pick-fork to the skull, a head being cut off as well as one dealing with a heart being ripped out. I thought Tunnicliffe was a lot of fun playing the host and hearing how the magic tricks were done was quite interesting. Just being able to see how realistic the "puppets" were was quite amazing. It is a remake of the Canadian slasher film , and focuses on residents in a small mining town that is plagued by a serial killer on Valentine's Day. After filming on location in Pennsylvania , the film was given a 3D theatrical release in the United States on January 16, by Lionsgate. It was the first R-rated film to be projected in RealD technology and to have a wide release 1, locations in 3D-enabled theaters. On Valentine's Day , the small mining community of Harmony is rocked by an explosion at the Hanniger mine. Comatose Harry Warden is the sole survivor, after killing five fellow miners to conserve his own oxygen. Tom Hanniger, son of the mine's owner, is blamed for the explosion. While Tom, his girlfriend Sarah, and other teenagers party inside the mine, Warden — wearing mining gear and a gas mask — attacks them with a pickaxe. Ten years later, Tom is called back to Harmony after his father dies. He plans to sell the mine, against the advice of local politician Ben Foley.
